Here's how you can use CHEFS & CO Pure Baking Soda to remove various types of odours

CHEFS & CO Bicarbonate of soda, commonly known as baking soda, is a versatile and natural cleaning agent that is particularly effective at neutralizing and removing odours.

Here's how you can use CHEFS & CO Pure Baking Soda to remove various types of odours:

  • Refrigerator and Freezer Odours:
  • Remove all items from the refrigerator or freezer. Clean the inside with a solution of water and a little dish soap. Place an open box or a small bowl of baking soda inside and leave it for several hours or overnight. The baking soda will absorb the bad odours. Replace the baking soda every 30 days for continuous freshness.

  • Carpet and Upholstery Odours:
  • Sprinkle baking soda generously over the carpet or upholstery. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes or overnight for stronger odours. Vacuum thoroughly to remove the baking soda.

  • Shoe Odours:
  • Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda inside the shoes. Let them sit overnight. Shake out the excess baking soda before wearing the shoes.

  • Garbage Can Odours:
  • Clean the garbage can with soap and water. Once dry, sprinkle baking soda at the bottom of the can before putting it in a new garbage bag. This will help neutralize odours from the trash.

  • Sink and Drain Odours:
  • Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain. Follow with 1 cup of white vinegar. It will fizz and bubble. Let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Rinse with hot water.

  • Laundry Odours:
  • Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your regular laundry detergent. Wash as usual. The baking soda will help neutralize odours and also make your clothes cleaner.

  • Pet Odours:
  • For pet bedding, sprinkle baking soda, let it sit, and vacuum. For litter boxes, mix baking soda in with the litter. It will help neutralize the ammonia smell.

  • General Room Odours:
  • Place a bowl of baking soda in any room where you want to neutralize odours. This is especially useful in basements, attics, or other closed spaces.

  • Bathroom Odours:
  • Sprinkle baking soda in the bottom of the toilet bowl and around the bathroom as needed. Let it sit for a while, then flush or sweep it up.

  • Smelly Hands (e.g., after chopping onions or garlic):
  • Make a paste of baking soda and water. Rub your hands with the paste and then rinse. Remember, while baking soda is excellent at neutralizing odours, it's always a good idea to identify and address the source of the odour to prevent it from returning.
